The ecological awareness of Poles is noticeably increasing. Over 96% of the respondents declare that they regularly sort waste. For 94% of respondents, climate change is an important issue. Already over 75% of Poles are willing to pay more for green energy, and nearly 60% of respondents plan to replace their heating with a more environmentally friendly one.1 There is also a significant increase in the interest in environmental protection among small and medium-sized enterprises. As many as 69% declare that when running a business, they are guided by concern for the protection of the environment. Environmental activities of companies focus on training employees in environmental activities (73%), minimizing waste (79%), introducing e-documents and reducing paper consumption (64%) 2 What else can they do?

Often times, good habits and slight changes in habits can do a lot. It is imperceptible to an individual, and with thousands of people acting in a certain way, the scale of changes and the benefits that result from them can be seen.

What does being ECO in business involve?

It is best to start introducing eco-style in business with a series of small changes that should also be applied in everyday life. Pro-ecological activities are most often based on the segregation of waste and its minimization. This can be achieved, for example, by replacing bottled water with a filter bottle, or by using reusable packaging instead of disposable. Saving water is essential in being eco. Thanks to the use of two-button cisterns, taps with a time solenoid valve or by sealing the water system, we care for the environment in a way that is imperceptible in use, but gives measurable benefits.

Another pro-ecological trend is the reduction of energy consumption, which is associated with, for example, switching to LED light sources, limiting the use of air conditioning, using the highest energy-class appliances or consciously using devices (e.g. boiling as much water as we need, turning off the computer after work, not leaving the devices in standby mode). In addition to saving energy, the use of green energy sources is gaining popularity, most often photovoltaic panels or less obvious, such as in the case of gyms, which are increasingly equipped with energy-generating training equipment, thanks to which they constitute their internal power supply.

EKOenergy – how to ensure it?

And is it possible to provide a mini eco-power system without interfering with the installation? As Marta Król from EcoFlow explains – Creating an ecological power source does not have to be complicated and does not have to be associated with the modernization of the existing installation. A self-sufficient, ecological and, in addition, fully mobile power supply set can be created using a portable power station and photovoltaic panels, which, if necessary, will be used to charge it. Knowing the power of the devices and the time for which we want to power them, it is enough to select a station with the appropriate capacity and the panels with the right power.

Power stations are not only a mobile energy source, but also an emergency power supply for a home or office and a storage of energy generated thanks to photovoltaic panels. – The use of photovoltaic panels with an MC4 connector and a station with a capacity of 3600Wh allows you to become independent from the power grid. It is enough to use the intelligent control panel of the installation to take full advantage of the free energy. This panel allows you to connect 10 circuits in your home or office. In the event of a power failure, it will switch the circuits to emergency power from the station within 30ms, and thanks to the application that connects to the panel, you can easily control, set up and optimize the resulting installation. – explains the expert from EcoFlow.

What are the benefits of ECOpraca?

As work takes up 1/3 of our life on average, it is worth introducing ecological solutions not only to your own business, but also to use them every day. The use of green energy sources reduces the generation of pollutants into the environment. In addition, being eco also means long-term savings. Reducing water consumption means lower bills. Less paper used means lower costs for office supplies. The use of alternative power sources in the form of mobile power stations means lower energy bills. In addition, if we decide to additionally use photovoltaic panels, we gain not only the possibility of current energy savings, but also its storage, when its production exceeds the demand at a given moment.

Ecological approach to many aspects of life should get into blood and become everyday life not only in business. Caring for the environment and using natural resources in a sustainable way is key to stopping the constant degradation of our planet. Often local actions on a global scale give the best results in the fight to improve the condition of the natural environment. By running our own business with an ecological approach, we take the first step in this direction.
